Love For Tradition | New Year=New Me

New Year New Me; a term over-used by every person in the entire world. This statement starts exactly on 31st December among drunken conversations and ends exactly on 2nd January.

Though, this year took a different route for me. January went away in a complete hush with “new” problems and dealing with a complete new lifestyle. How we wish; we could go back in time to cherish some precious moments? Also then how we realize it’s always a good time to move forward. Life is about new experiences, new situations and new learnings.

Starting this year, I decided to embrace the new things in life. Be it my personal life including adjustments, or dealing with a completely new work profile. But I also promised myself there would be something different in me. That’s when the impromptu red colour happened. Not many people realize, but just a small change in yourself can be worth a million bucks!

So since this is my first post of the year 2016, I decided to do something that I have never done before. This included sharing my love for Indian tradition and ethnicity. Since this is also the wedding season, I thought I would incorporate a classy look that could easily fit in your wedding lookbook. It is simple, stylish and completely hassle-free.

All you need to do is find yourself a really gorgeous yet subtle kurta of your colour choice. Then, pair it with a monochrome colour (white/black) churidar or now in fashion, ethnic palazzos for a more Indo-Western look. Just a gorgeous pair of chaandbali’s can be your only accessory. These kinds of earrings have become immensely popular after Deepika Padukone wore them in Ram-Leela for the perfect Gujju touch.

Makeup can be upto your choice; but I keep it simple; with dark smoky eyes, shiny red lipstick and a matching bindi on the forehead to go with it. And VOILA you are done. Traditional attire always doesn’t need to be gaudy, loud and heavy; this season choose something light and fun 🙂

See how I styled my look below 🙂
